Something that I am well to familiar with is listing to trash talk whilst the male species in my house are playing online video games . Sometimes feeling like killing them myself !but its part of the fun ( apparently) just banter that ends usually in freind requests.
That wasn't the case for a 13 year old gamer in Plymouth, Devon who found himself being choked by a 43 year old man who lived in the neighborhood after a heated exchange in Call Of Duty: Black Ops. Mark Bradford, apparently "just lost it" after a long session of taunting and goading, as he tracked down the unnamed teenager at his friend's house, choking him from behind.
Luckily, the teen was rescued by his mother and suffered only scratches and bruises, as Bradford simply walked away after the brief attack:
Plymouth Magistrates heard that Bradford then simply walked away without saying a word. The boy, who cannot be identified, said: 'I was just sat playing. We’d had a bit of a joke and then he stormed in and grabbed me. 'I didn’t know what was going on.' Gareth Warden, prosecuting, said the teenager was playing the game at a friend's house when he called Bradford a name after he 'killed' him. He added that Bradford went to a nearby house where the boy was playing, walked into the front room and grabbed him around the throat with both hands.
Bradford admitted one count of assault when charged by the Plymouth Magistrate's Court. As no surprise, he's been noted to have a history of mental health issues. Oddly, Bradford and the boy reportedly still play Call of Duty together, having apologized to him and his mother.
